FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and device for controlling movement of a vehicle. Method is realized by means of motion control device. Motion control device comprises first, second and third detectors and controller. First detector is configured to detect interference adjacent to the vehicle in motion in the first lane. Second detector is configured to detect a second lane adjacent to the first lane. Third detector is configured to detect third lane next and adjacent to second lane. Motion control device is configured to: 1) set the first band to change the lane in the second lane, wherein the first range has a size equal to or greater than the size of the vehicle in question on the road surface; 2) detect the range in the second lane as a second range, wherein the range in the second lane is located on the side of the vehicle in question, wherein the interference is not in the range in the second lane; 3) allow the considered vehicle to change lane when the second range completely includes the first range.
EFFECT: invention provides method and device for control over lane change automatic vehicle.
