SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and device for motion control. Device implementing a motion control method comprises a first detector made with the ability to detect interference near the considered vehicle moving in the first lane of movement, and a second detector configured to detect a second lane adjacent to the first lane. Device includes a controller that sets the first range in the target position for changing lanes in the second lane. Controller detects the range in the second lane as the second range. Vehicle in question is authorized to change lanes when the second range includes the first range. Controller estimates the distance from the vehicle moving in the second lane to the vehicle in question after the predetermined time and corrects the first and second ranges.
EFFECT: smooth change of lane is provided.
