SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a vehicle movement control device and method. Device comprises: first detector, second detector and controller. First detector is configured to detect interference adjacent to vehicle moving in first traffic lane. Second detector is configured to detect a second lane adjacent to the first lane. Controller is configured to: set the first range in the lane change position in the second lane, wherein the first range has a size equal to or greater than the size that the vehicle occupies on the road surface; detecting a range in the second lane as a second range, wherein the range in the second lane is located on the side of the vehicle in question, wherein the interference is not in the range in the second lane; and allow vehicle to change lane when second range completely includes first range.
EFFECT: providing traffic control, which allows to notify the user whether lane change is to be performed or not.
