SUBSTANCE: method for detecting inaccurate flow measurement with a vibration meter is provided. Method comprises a fluid flowing through a vibrating meter and measuring the flow rate and density of a fluid with a vibrating meter, and calculating the rate of change of fluid density. Method also includes determining whether the measured flow rate is inaccurate, based on a comparison of the measured density with a density reference, and a comparison of the rate of change of density with a reference value of the rate of change of density.

EFFECT: technical result is the provision of detection of inaccurate flow measurement by a vibration meter.
