FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: very low frequency vibratory flow metre includes a flow metre assembly including one or more flow conduits. The flow metre assembly is configured to generate a very low frequency vibrational response which is below a predetermined minimum decoupling frequency for the flowing fluid independent of the size of foreign material or composition of foreign material. The very low frequency vibrational response is below a predetermined minimum frequency for sound of speed/compressibility threshold independent of the size of foreign material or composition of foreign material. The very low frequency vibratory flow metre further includes an electronic metre connected to the flow metre assembly and configured to receive the very low frequency vibrational response and take one or more flow measurements therefrom.

EFFECT: design of a vibratory flow metre suitable for accurate and reliable measurement of flow of multiphase fluids.
