Video stream transmission device, comprising: image encoding unit configured to divide the first image data for transmission and the second image data for transmission into layers and encoding layers, wherein the data of the first image for transmission is obtained by applying a photo-electric conversion to the data of the first input image, the contrast ratio of which is from 0 to 100 % relative to the brightness of the white peak of the normal LDR image, and the data of the second image for transmission is obtained by applying photo-electric conversion to the data of the second input image, the contrast ratio of which is from 0 to 100 % * N (N is a number greater than 1), the contrast ratio exceeds the brightness of the usual white peak, which is done in order to generate a video stream containing encoded image data for layer frames; layer information insertion unit configured to insert layer information for the encoded image data of layer frames into a video stream layer or a container layer; and a transmission unit configured to transmit a container of a predetermined format that contains a video stream.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improved efficiency of coding.
