It is proposed to generate the main video stream, including the encoded image data for the base image format data, and an expanded video stream including encoded image data for each of a predetermined number of data elements in a high quality image format, or generating a video stream including encoded image data for base image data and encoded image data for each of a given number of data units in high quality image format. Container of the specified format including the generated video stream is transmitted. Identification information of the corresponding format is inserted into the encoded image data for the base image format data and for each of the given number of high-quality image format data elements.
EFFECT: successful transmission of a predetermined number of data units in high quality image format together with basic image format data.
