FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasive processing and can be used in making a diamond tool, in particular cutting disc, for cutting reinforced concrete, brick, granite, marble and other solid minerals. Method involves preparation of powder mixture based on diamond powder and binder, introduction of plasticizer, granulation, dosing, cold pressing of cutting tool part, hot pressing, tumbling, connection of cutting part with tool. First, a mixture is prepared based on diamond powder and powders of metals with modification thereof by adding tungsten carbide nanopowder and granulating the mixture to granule size of 400–800 mcm. Then, a granulated binder is prepared on the basis of carbonyl iron and molybdenum powders by their mixing with granulation to granules size of 400–800 mcm. 50 % to 50 % of granules of said mixtures are mixed, and hot pressing is performed in preset mode of heating, holding and cooling using certain parameters.

EFFECT: higher durability of cutting tool operation due to reduced formation of cracks during cutting of hard materials.
