FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology. Ultrasonic needle for ophthalmosurgery is designed for dissection and aspiration of vitreous body and other eye tissues. Needle comprises a bushing for connection to an ultrasonic instrument, a cannula having at least one working hole on the distal end and having a lumen extending from the proximal end of the cannula to the distal end. Cross section of working opening is smaller than cross-section of lumen of cannula. In the side wall of the cannula at the distal end, a through slotted incision is also made, located at angle of 90° to lengthwise axis with slot length making 1/2 of circumference of outer surface of cannula.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables higher suction force and enables to create an additional emulsifying effect in the projection of the opening to increase efficiency of cutting dense pathological structures.
