FIELD: hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to oral care, in particular to the reduction of biofilm in the mouth. Oral care composition contains arginine in free or salt form in an amount of 1 to 2.85 wt.% based on the total weight of the composition, zinc oxide and zinc citrate, where zinc oxide is present in an amount of 0.5 to 1.5 wt.% based on the total weight of the composition and zinc citrate in an amount of 0.25 to 0.75 wt.% based on the total weight of the composition. Also disclosed is a method of reducing or slowing down the formation of a biofilm in the oral cavity, including bringing the oral cavity into contact with the composition.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides better efficacy in reducing biofilm in the oral cavity.
