FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biotechnology, molecular biology and biochemistry. A method for identifying methylated cytosines in a population of double-stranded DNA molecules is proposed. Invention also relates to adapters and kits for synthesis of said adapters, as well as to double-stranded DNA libraries obtained using methods of the present invention.
EFFECT: invention increases accuracy and quality of methylated cytosine detection and can be used in scientific and applied fields.
