FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of layer-by-layer laser surfacing of powder materials on a surface of a metal workpiece, to methods of additive technologies for creation of surface coatings with cavities. Method involves scanning a laser beam on a substrate, feeding a filler powder into a molten bath and melting it to obtain a layer of a surfaced material. Surfacing of every next layer is made perpendicular to direction of previous layer, at that, forming cavity filler is laid parallel to movement direction at surfacing.

EFFECT: technical result consists in producing welded coating with cavities by preliminary application of forming filler in form of bundle or tape from carbon fibre on surfaced surface of substrate (part) in direction of movement with subsequent laser surfacing of filler material with scanning radiation along straight trajectory perpendicular to direction of movement and mechanical removal of filler at the end of process.
