SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to thoracic surgery, and is used to treat main bronchus stump failure following pneumonectomy. Endoprosthesis for treating an inconsistency of the main bronchus stump following a pneumonectomy consists of a solid polypropylene mesh fabric with rounded angles. Polymer membrane with diameter of 15 mm is applied in the endoprosthesis centre. Thoracostomy is formed, through which the pleural cavity is sanitized. When the granulation tissue in the area of the stump of the main bronchus is actively formed, the declared endoprosthesis is established. Polymer membrane of the endoprosthesis completely closes the inconsistency of the main bronchus. It is followed by sanation and dampening with tan coating of grafted napkins of a thoracostomy wound.

EFFECT: group of inventions provide fast and effective treatment of inconsistency of the main bronchus stump following pneumonectomy, significantly reduces the length of hospital stay by using an endoprosthesis from a solid polypropylene mesh fabric with a polymer membrane in the centre.
