FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical devices used in helmet-mounted display systems. Optical system includes light-conducting substrate (20) having at least two outer main surfaces and edges, an optical element for inputting light waves into substrate (20) through internal reflection, at least one partially reflecting surface located in substrate (20), for output of light waves from substrate (20), at least one transparent film with air gap (110), including base and superfine structure (111), defining relief formation, installed on the base. Film with an air gap is attached to one of the main surfaces of substrate (20), and the relief formation faces substrate (20), which defines the joint plane so that the light waves connected inside substrate (20) are completely reflected from the joint plane.
EFFECT: reduced dimensions, higher image quality.
