SUBSTANCE: invention relates to use of a compound which is a bile acid derivative of general formula I, in which R1 is -OH, -OAc, O-CH3; R2 is -H, -OH, -OAc; R3= -H, -OH, -OAc, -O-CH3; R4 is adamantyl, -phenyl, optionally substituted with bromine, -methyl; -pyridinyl, -(CH2)2-R5, where R5= phenyl substituted with two tert-butyl groups, or indole, as human tyrosyl-DNA-phosphodiesterase 1 (Tdp1) enzyme inhibitors.

EFFECT: technical result is the use of compounds of formula I as an effective inhibitor of human tyrosyl-DNA-phosphodiesterase 1 enzyme, which can be used to develop new effective anti-cancer agents.
