SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of cross-linked hyaluronic acid for cosmetology. Method for producing a product in the form of a gel from cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) involves steps of initiating cross-linking of HA through reaction of HA with one or more polyfunctional cross-linking agent in an aqueous solution to obtain activated HA, removing unreacted cross-linking agent(s) from activated HA and completing crosslinking of activated HA by exposing activated HA to additional crosslinking conditions without adding any additional cross-linking agent to obtain a cross-linked HA product. Final step of crosslinking is carried out in a suspension of a liquid precipitating medium and activated GC in a deposited form, and additional crosslinking conditions at this stage include a pH of suspension of 9 or higher and a temperature in range of 10 to 75 °C. Products obtained in this way in the form of gel from cross-linked GC demonstrate high effective ratio of cross-linking agent of 35 % and higher. Obtained products can be used in medical and cosmetic surgical operations.
