SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to winding of rolled materials. Rewinding machine comprises bearing surface, first winding support and second winding support. Support surface extends around first winding roller and limits feed channel of winding sleeves. First winding support is formed between the first winding roller, the second winding roller and the third winding roller. First winding roller and the second winding roller limit the gap for passage of winding sleeves with rolled material wound around them. Winding feed direction extends between the first winding roller and the third winding roller. Second winding support is formed between the first winding roller, the second winding roller and the fourth winding roller. In the winding method, roll material is fed around the first winding roller. First winding sleeve is inserted into the first winding support. First part of the winding cycle is made in the first winding support. Shaped log is moved from first to second winding support. Second part of winding cycle is performed in second winding support. At the end of winding of the first log, the second winding sleeve is inserted into the first winding support.

EFFECT: efficient control of winding cycle, log shape and winding density.
