FIELD: control systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of controlling frame assembly of frame structural elements. Technical result is achieved by a method of controlling a frame structural assembly (12) production line, which comprises a plurality of stations, including unload station (14) and n formation stations (13a-13c), each of which comprises forming devices (16, 17, 18, 22, 23) configured to form frame structural element. Note here that said method comprises selecting one of assembly cycle and size variation cycle. Assembly cycle includes successive and cyclic movement of m shaping drums (15a-15c) involved in process, between data n stations (13a-13c) and unloading station (14), wherein 2≤m≤n. At any one operating moment of the assembly cycle, only unloading station (14) and initial station (13a) of the said n forming stations may comprise shaping drum (15a-15c), involved in the process and separated from the frame structural element in the process of manufacture. Sizing change cycle includes replacement of shaping drums (15a-15c) involved in the process by one m incoming shaping drums (26a-26c; 27a-27c; 28a-28c) by using a sequence of movements between stations (13a-13c), which at least partially differs from sequence of displacements provided in assembly cycle. At that, at one operating moment of the size variation cycle, formation station (13b, 13c), which is different from initial station (13a), comprises an input shaping drum separated from the frame structural element, which is in process of manufacturing.

EFFECT: technical result is higher flexibility of plants for making tires without increasing cycle duration, in particular, when there is a cycle of changing size.
