FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and specifically to a system and method for producing high-activity electrolyte with special valency for a completely vanadium flow redox accumulator. Vanadium containing material is reduced to vanadium oxide of low valence with average valence of vanadium, which takes any value in range of 3.0–4.5, by accurate fluidization control, then water and sulfuric acid are added for dissolution and the mixture is subjected to activation of the microwave field in order to obtain a vanadium electrolyte with a special valency. Effective use of heat is achieved by heat exchange between vanadium containing material and reducing effluent gas and heat exchange between the reduction product and fluidised gaseous nitrogen. Inner element and material outlets at different heights are located in fluidised recovery layer to provide accurate control of valency state of recovery product, and special chemical effect of microwave field is used for activation of vanadium ions, which considerably increases activity of electrolyte.
EFFECT: higher purity and activity of electrolyte.
