FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to energy generation and chemical engineering, particularly, to a system and a method of producing high purity electrolyte for a vanadium battery. System and method of producing electrolyte comprises obtaining vanadium oxide by hydrolysis of liquid phase and reduction of fluidised layer with vanadium oxytrichloride, addition of purified water and sulphuric acid for dissolution and further activation by using ultraviolet to produce vanadium electrolyte. Residual gas of high temperature in the fluidised reduction bed is burnt for preliminary heating of vanadium powder material in order to recover specific heat and latent heat of residual gas of high temperature, and specific heat of reduction product is restored due to transfer between reduction product and fluidized gaseous nitrogen. Inner element is provided in the fluidised recovery layer for accurate adjustment of the valence state of the reduction product, and ultraviolet is used to activate vanadium ions, thereby increasing activity of the electrolyte.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce the process, increase efficiency and purity.
