FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and chemical engineering, particularly to a system and a method of producing 3.5-valent vanadium electrolyte of high purity. According to the invention, a system and a method of producing a high-purity vanadium electrolyte with valence of 3.5 includes hydrolysis of high-purity vanadium oxytrichloride into vanadium pentoxide in fluidised bed (2) by hydrolysis of a gaseous phase, reduction of vanadium pentoxide in fluidized bed (5) to low-valence vanadium oxide with average valence of 3.5 % of vanadium under precise control, adding pure water and sulfuric acid solution under conditions of external microwave field for dissolution at low temperature to obtain high purity vanadium electrolyte with valence of 3.5, which can be directly used in a new completely vanadium flow-through redox storage battery. Obtaining of vanadium pentoxide by hydrolysis of gas phase in fluidized bed (2) is characterized by fast and high efficiency. Inner element in fluidized bed (5) enables to accurately control valence state of recovery product, and special chemical effect of microwave field is used to stimulate dissolution of vanadium oxide and activation of vanadium ions, due to which dissolution and production of electrolyte takes place in range of low temperatures, which significantly increases activity of electrolyte.
EFFECT: short process, high efficiency and good purity, stable quality of product, applicability in large-scale production, which brings economic and social benefits.
