FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. Industrial grade vanadium pentoxide is converted to vanadium oxytrichloride by low-temperature chlorination in fluidized bed. Chlorinating gas is preheated by heat exchange between fluidizing gas and the flue gas of chlorination and air is added. Vanadium oxytrichlorate is purified by rectification and then gas phase ammonification is carried out in a fluidized bed to obtain ammonium metavanadate. Ammonium metavanadate containing ammonium chloride is calcined in a fluidized bed and a powder of high purity vanadium pentoxide is obtained.

EFFECT: invention allows to reduce energy consumption and operating costs in industrial production of high-purity vanadium pentoxide, to exclude environmental pollution by sewage containing ammonia and nitrogen.
