FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. Industrial grade vanadium pentoxide is converted to vanadium oxytrichloride by low-temperature chlorination in fluidized bed. Chlorinating gas is preheated by heat exchange between fluidizing gas and the flue gas of chlorination and air is added. Vanadium oxychloride is purified by rectification. Ammonium salt is then precipitated and calcined in fluidized bed to obtain high purity vanadium pentoxide.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce energy consumption and operating costs in industrial production of high-purity vanadium pentoxide and eliminate environmental pollution.
