FIELD: control systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed is steering and braking control system containing computer, and also method for steering and braking control. Computer is programmed to issue a command to apply a torque or up to a predetermined value of steering torque, or up to a predetermined value of pure asymmetrical braking force. Each predetermined value is selected to achieve a predetermined torque around the vertical axis of the vehicle on the vehicle, which for the most part is the least of the first maximum torque around the vertical axis obtained by actuating the steering system, and a second maximum torque around the vertical axis obtained by actuating the braking system.
EFFECT: increased stability is achieved.
