FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, dentistry. Cephalometric analysis of symmetry of contralateral sides in patients with asymmetric deformations of jaws is performed. A three-dimensional model of the patient's skull is created on the basis of computed tomography with subsequent application of cephalometric points on it. Co is most upper lateral point on external contour of articular process. Go is maximally lower point of patient's lower jaw angle. Me - lower point on chin contour. Ag is a frontogonial fossa, a lateral-lower edge of the frontogonial projection. J (Jugale) is a point on the bilinear process, intersection of an upper jawbone and a zygomatic buttress, and MRS is a mid-sagittal plane. Co-GoA is the height of the mandible ramus on the affected side. Co-MeA is the length of the base of the lower jaw on the affected side. Go-MeA is the length of the lower jaw on the affected side. Co-MRSA is width within temporomandibular joint (TMJ) relative to middle line of face on injured side. J-MRSA is an upper jaw width on the involved side. Ag-MRSA is the width of the mandible on the affected side and J-AgA is the intermaxillary interposition on the affected side. CondHA is the height of the condylar process of the lower jaw of the patient from the top of its head to the perpendicular to the lowest point of the coronal incision. Results of the measured cephalometric parameters on the injured side of the upper and lower jaws of the patient are analyzed. At measured height of lower branch on affected side of Co-GoA of jaw of patient from 60.84 mm to 93.22 mm, measured length of base of lower jaw on affected side of Co-MeA jaw of patient from 70.87 mm to 93.67 mm, measured length of lower jaw on affected side of Go-MeA from 116.67 mm to 140.44 mm, measured width in area of TPS relative to middle line of face on affected side of Co-MRSA from 41.9 mm to 61.4 mm, measured width of upper jaw on affected side of J-MRSA from 27.7 mm to 38.4 mm, measured width of lower jaw on affected side of Ag-MRSA from 36.6 mm to 47.9 mm, intermandibular relative position on affected side of J-AgA from 42.3 mm to 58.1 mm, height of condylar process of lower jaw of patient on affected side of CondHA from 19.38 mm to 39.12 mm diagnose asymmetric deformations of jaw in patient.
EFFECT: method enables assessing the anatomical and morphological features of the condylar process on the affected side, the degree of asymmetry of the lower jaw body.
