FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of electroerosion wire used as machining tool for electrospark machining of metal materials. Method involves making wire by drawing with coarse and non-uniform surface, application on its surface of soft metal coating with thickness of 5–10 mcm with recrystallization temperature lower than 20 °C method of galvanic coating by immersion of wire into reservoir from dielectric, filled with electrolytic solution and equipped with cathode, anode, devices for maintaining temperature and mixing solution, and final drawing wire with 10–15 % of its thickness at 20–25 °C.
EFFECT: invention allows manufacturing of high-precision spark erosion wire at temperature of 20–25 °C meeting the required requirements for spark erosion machining, and provides alignment of the outer wire surface within ±2 mcm.
