SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to capsule (10) for preparing a beverage in brewing machine (20), capsule container (11) filled with an extractable material, substantially square base (12) and cover (16) of capsule, closing capsule container (11), characterized by that it comprises at least one first optically readable code (50) on base (12) of capsule container (11), which has two-dimensional arrangement of several first elements (52, 53) of code, and also by the fact that it contains at least one second optically readable code (150) on base (12) of capsule container (11), which has two-dimensional arrangement of several second elements (52') code lying radially outside first code (50) relative to middle point (55) of first code (50). Invention also relates to a system comprising capsule (10) and a corresponding brewing machine (20), as well as to a method for identifying such capsule (10).
EFFECT: providing a capsule of the initially mentioned type, which is provided with a code, said code being able to store a sufficient quantity of information and being able to be read out in the brewing machine in a rapid manner and with an extremely high success rate.
