SUBSTANCE: claimed method for the quantitative determination of the amount of flavonoids in the herb of the wild thistle includes obtaining a water-alcohol extract from 1 gram of an accurate sample of the herb of the wild thistle, ground to a particle size of 2 mm with 40% ethanol, with a ratio of raw material-extractant 1:30, 3 times for 30 minutes, addition of the obtained extract of 2% alcohol solution of aluminum chloride in the amount of 1 ml. for complex formation, the interaction is carried out for 45 minutes, the quantitative determination of flavonoids by the method for differential spectrophotometry using a standard sample of apigenin with aluminum chloride at a wavelength of 389 nm. In terms of apigenin and absolutely dry raw materials according to the formula

where X is the content of the sum of flavonoids in the herb of the wild thistle in terms of apigenin and absolutely dry raw materials, %, A – optical density of the solution being analyzed, A0 – optical density of apigenin standard sample complex with aluminum chloride, a – raw material, g, a0 – apigenin standard weight, g, W – weight loss on drying, %.
