FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry production and can be used for production of flat ingots. Plant comprises device (1) for feeding molten metal (2) into crystallizer (3), vertically movable tray (4), control EMW (6) interconnected with sensors: temperature (7), movement speed (5) of tray, level (9) of molten metal in crystallizer (3), and with sensors and regulators (10) of water flow for cooling of crystallizer. Sensors (12) of temperature of molten metal and ingot record change of surface temperature of ingot along its perimeter and height in zone of ingot cooling. Crystallizer is made with sections (13) isolated from each other, each of which is equipped with pipeline (14) with regulators (10) of water flow rate for cooling.
EFFECT: providing the same cooling mode of flat ingot along its perimeter, due to which the ingot quality is improved.
