FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in controlling periodicity of preventive maintenance of objects. Method of operation of technical facility consists in the fact that periodicity of maintenance of object as per operating time and permissible intensity of failures in relation to operating time are established. Maintenance is carried out as per the operating time, intensity is fixed before maintenance, value of permissible intensity is compared with fixed intensity, and if allowable intensity is less than fixed value, operating time of object is determined before next service in proportion to ratio of permissible intensity to fixed intensity. Permissible time for elimination of failure is set, mean time for elimination of failure between maintenance is fixed. Permissible elimination time of failure with fixed value is compared, and at time permissible time is less than fixed time, object operating time is determined before next service in proportion to permissible time to fixed ratio. Object operating time is set to the next service as per average value of certain operating time.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improvement of reliability of object by rational control of periodicity of service by set of technical condition indicators.
