Method of decoding video data from a bit stream, in which encoding data of residual coefficients for a conversion unit, which is presented as a square block of a predetermined size, is received from the bit stream, encoded data of at least one flag of a group of significant coefficients for indicating whether at least one of the residual coefficients in the corresponding square block subblock is significant, and the encoded position data of the last significant coefficient position in the square block; determining the order of scanning a flag of a group of significant coefficients and the scanning order of residual coefficients for the transformation unit according to the internal prediction mode; determining a flag of a group of significant coefficients corresponding to subblocks of the square block; and decoding the transformation unit residual coefficients according to the flag of the group of significant coefficients, the scanning order of the residual coefficients and the position of the last significant coefficient in the square block.
