FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy and can be used in processing manganiferous raw material. Melting process is carried out continuously in three-zone furnace. Manganese-containing material is melted in the first zone by feeding oxygen and carbon-containing materials. Between the melting oxidation and reduction zones solid partitions are installed with formation of an intermediate zone, in which there performed is dephosphorisation of manganese-containing oxide melt using compressed as CO-containing gases effluents from reduction zone, by which oxide melt is blown through lower tuyeres, note here that waste gases of intermediate zone are burnt down during fusion while furnace gases containing gaseous phosphorus are passed through water gate, where phosphorus is trapped.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain high-grade low-phosphorus manganese ferroalloys from manganese-containing material with high content of phosphorus.
