FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dephosphorisation molten manganese ore and concentrates. Selective recovery of phosphorus from molten metal is performed with gaseous carbon monoxide (CO), which is blown through melt. Gaseous carbon monoxide can be used, obtained in a gas generator and containing carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen (N2) impurities, as well as gaseous carbon monoxide in form of exhaust gases of closed or sealed ore-thermal furnaces for carbothermic melting of ferroalloys.
EFFECT: provided is a method for dephosphorisation of molten manganese ore and concentrates without loss of manganese with associated metal.
