SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to maxillofacial surgery, and is intended for use in treating patients with gnathic dentoalveolar anomalies, in the past of which there is a nasal breathing disorder, hypertrophy of inferior concha. After Le Fort 1 upper jaw osteotomy and the upper jaw mobilization, the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity is visualized. Mucosa is stripped all over by means of a raspatory. Vertical incision of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity bottom parallel to the nasal conchaes with scalpel 15C. Such an incision provides convenient access and complete visualization of the inferior concha. Local anesthesia is performed directly in the mucous membrane of the inferior concha. Submucous secretion of nasal cavities is performed. That is followed by conducting an osteotomy of the concha by using the Blakeslee direct forceps. Further, the shells are resected under the base along the entire length with the help of straight scissors in an anteroposterior direction. Formed wound surface is coagulated by electric coagulator to minimize bleeding and postoperative edema. Mucosa of the nasal cavity is laid in place and closed with a simple continuous suture, a monofilament resorbable filament 5.0, using surgical tweezers and the classical direct needle holder Hegar.

EFFECT: method allows increasing passability of nasal passages and improving postoperative external respiratory function in patients with gnathic forms of jaw anomalies by data of objective and subjective indicators before and after operation.
