FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing biomass of methane-oxidising bacteria. Method involves growing bacteria in a fermenter under conditions of aeration on a nutrient medium, extracting biomass from the culture liquid, partially returning the spent culture liquid to the growing step, dehydrating and drying the biomass. Note here that growing of biomass is carried out in alternating aeration mode and continuous supply of methane to maximally turbulent aerated zone of fermenter.

EFFECT: invention provides high output of biomass, reduced losses and achieving complete explosion safety of the process.
