FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: electric braking device comprises a rotating assembly which rotates together with the wheel, a friction element which generates braking force due to friction with the rotating assembly by pressing against the rotating assembly, electric motor serving as a drive source, a piston, a conversion working mechanism configured to convert the rotation of the electric motor into forward and backward movement of the piston, actuator to squeeze the friction element against the rotary assembly by moving the piston forward, a controller configured to control the actuator by controlling the rotation of the electric motor. Working conversion mechanism includes: a rotating element, which has one of the screw with external thread and a screw with internal thread, engaged by thread with each other in a state, in which lubricating material is placed between them, wherein rotating member is rotating by means of rotation of electric motor, and an element with rectilinear movement, which has another of the screw with external thread and screw with internal thread and is configured to be movable forward and backward to move the piston forward and backward. Controller selectively executes, when there is no request for braking force for electric braking device, control in the ready state for instructing the straight movement element to be in the ready position, in which the gap between the friction element and the rotating assembly does not exceed the play between the screw with external thread and the screw with internal thread, and control movement backwards to move back element with rectilinear motion into position of backward movement, in which clearance is allowed, equal or greater play. Disclosed also is vehicle braking system.
