FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to gear transmissions and methods of making gear wheels. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that at manufacture of a gear wheel with internal teeth of an arched form inside an opening of an annular billet of a gear wheel the tool with a rotating cutting edge is introduced, by means of which arc-shaped grooves with equal pitch are formed in a billet, forming cavities between teeth of the made gear wheel. At that, tool with cutting edge rotation is provided by means of angular transmission, and tool cutting edge rotation plane located within tool dimensions is arranged at angle to plane tangential to billet inner surface at point of apex of arc of cut groove.
EFFECT: simplified manufacture of gear wheels with internal tooth of arch shape and increased specific parameters of gear transmissions with internal gearing due to possibility of engaging inner tooth of arched form.
