FIELD: rescue means.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to individual means of emergency rescue of people from civil, industrial and military high-rise buildings in case of fire or in other emergency situations. System for self-rescue of a person from high-rise structures consists of a body with fasteners and with at least one braking unit arranged in the form of a liquid friction mechanism and connected to a braking unit of a coil with a flexible cable wound thereon, wherein the brake assembly consists of a fixed housing with a cylindrical cavity filled with high-viscosity liquid, and placed in this cavity, at least one fixed disc, connected to the housing, and, at least, one rotating disc connected to rotor installed in housing with possibility of rotation in it, note here that end face clearance filled with high-viscous fluid is left between fixed and rotating discs while rotor is engaged with said coil.
EFFECT: device for self-rescue of a person from high-rise structures provides safe escape speed without human participation.
