FIELD: cosmetology.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to cosmetic industry. Disclosed is a method of producing a cosmetic hydrogel with an extract of microalga pigments, in accordance with which: microorganisms pigments are extracted with acetone; acetone is distilled; mixture of dodecanol-ethanol is added to obtained precipitate at their volume ratio of 1:1; aqueous solution of xanthane and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) polymers is prepared at their weight ratio of 1:1 by dissolving powders of said polymers in water with continuous stirring for at least 3 hours and at least 70 °C followed by cooling to room temperature; adding the extracted microalga pigments in said mixture of dodecanol-ethanol to the obtained aqueous solution of xanthan and polyvinyl chloride polymers; said polymers are crosslinked by at least one freezing-thawing cycle followed by drying.

EFFECT: invention provides higher stability and activity of lipophilic pigments in the hydrogel aqueous medium.
