SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic chemistry and specifically discloses a method of producing 3-aroyl-2-hydroxy-3a-(1H-indol-3-yl)-1H-benzo[b]pyrrolo[1,2-d][1,4]thiazine-1,4(3aH)-diones (IIIa-c), wherein 3-aroylpyrrolo[2,1-c][1,4]benzothiazine-1,2,4-triones are reacted with an equivalent amount of indole in an aprotic solvent acetonitrile while heating at 80 °C for 30 minutes.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables to obtain compounds of formula III with high output.
