FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a heart rate monitoring system and a method of determining a user's warm-up state. Light directed to the user's skin is generated using the optical sensor light source. Optical sensor photodetector is used to detect light indicating absorption in skin or light reflection from light source from user's skin. User's heartbeat is measured using an optical heartbeat sensor and an output signal is output. Output signal of the optical heartbeat sensor corresponds to the output signal of the photodetector unit. Analytical unit is used to analyse the output signal from the heart rate sensor and to determine the heating state of the user based on the analysis. Signal analyser is used to analyse output signal AC component, output signal DC component and output signal pulsation morphology. Using the warm-up detector unit, a user heating state is detected based on a blood perfusion measurement determined using the characteristics of the AC component of the output signal, the DC component of the output signal or the morphology of the output signal pulsation.
EFFECT: enabling detection of the user warming up state based on analysis of the heart rate signal characteristics.
