FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. Optical vital signs sensor configured to measure or determine the life values of the user comprises a light source configured to generate a light beam with a range of angles (α) of incidence. Light beam is directed onto the user's skin. There is a photodetector configured to detect light characterizing reflection of light beam from light source in user's skin or from it. Light source and photodetector are arranged next to each other and on one side of user's skin. Light shape setting unit is configured to shape the light beam from the light source before the light beam hits the user's skin by limiting the angle range (α) to less than 20°.
EFFECT: disclosed is an optical sensor of vital signs.
