SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. Invention is a method for assessing the reproductive qualities of stallions according to the elemental composition of hair of mane, comprising cutting a desired hair sample at a weight of at least 0.24 g from a mane area in the projection of the first cervical vertebra, where a proximal hair section of length 3.3 cm is collected, reproductive properties evaluation criterion is level of Sr concentration in hair, at concentration Sr below 1.88 mcg/g reproductive qualities are evaluated as high, within 1.89–3.89 mcg/g as average, at concentration more than 3.9 mcg/g as low.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to more accurately estimate reproductive qualities of stallions.
