FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is applicable for apnoea prevention. Device (1; 20) is used, comprising (2) dental splint (2) consisting of upper element (3) and lower element (4), and comprising at least one plastic bar (5; 21) with two ends (7), wherein each end (7) is provided with slot (9) pivotally connected to the corresponding cylindrical section (11) of protrusion (10), which projects sideways from dental splint (2), wherein slot (9) is closed and along the length exceeds the diameter of cylindrical portion (11) so that cylindrical portion (11) can move through slot (9) in order to prevent an arbitrary return of lower portion (4) relative to upper portion (3) of dental splint (2).
EFFECT: use of the device provides the apnoea therapy, while allowing some extension and lateral movement of lower portion (4), which is convenient for the user.
