FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: purpose of the invention is to prevent the deterioration of the accuracy of reading the sensor of exhaust gases owing to the effect of electromagnetic waves in the exhaust gas purification system for the internal combustion engine, which is configured to apply electromagnetic waves to the exhaust gas cleaning device provided in the internal combustion engine exhaust channel. Invention applies to exhaust gas purification system for internal combustion engine, which includes exhaust gas sensor located within range of radiation of electromagnetic waves from radiating device, which emits electromagnetic waves of specific frequency, into device for cleaning exhaust gases.

EFFECT: system suspends emission of electromagnetic waves from radiating device during sampling period, in which digitization of output value of exhaust gas sensor is performed, even when specific condition for radiation is satisfied.
