FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cleaning of exhaust gases of internal combustion engines. Precipitated amount of intra-wall solid particles in particulate filter is evaluated with high degree of accuracy. Receiving module receives as correlation between reference value of deposited amount of intra-wall solid particles and oxygen accumulation capacity of catalyst change in time of oxygen accumulation capacity of catalyst according to change of deposited amount of solid particles in filter in period of time from moment of time, in which the precipitated amount of solid particles in the filter is essentially zero, until the time at which the oxygen storage capacity of the catalyst, which is larger according to the increase in the deposited amount of solid particles in the filter, reaches a maximum value.
EFFECT: module for estimating deposited amount of intra-wall solid particles estimates current deposited amount of intra-wall solid particles based on current oxygen accumulation capacity of catalyst and correlation obtained by obtaining module.
