FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to veterinary science, namely to diagnostics, and can be used for detecting antigens Toxoplasma gondii or antibodies to them in blood serum or blood plasma, as well as in material obtained from animals by biopsy, and in tissues and organs of animals after slaughtering. Method for preparing a toxoplasma antigen for a rapid test for toxoplasmosis by an immunochromatographic method using test strips involves diluting the obtained soluble antigen with a phosphate-salt buffer (PSB) solution at ratio of 1:10. Then one adds to the obtained solution an equal volume of methylene blue, also pre-dissolved by PSB at ratio of 1:500. Produced mixture of toxoplasma antigen and methylene blue is applied on test strips and toxoplasma antigen and methylene blue are conjugated by heating at temperature 37 °C for 7–10 minutes. Group of inventions also relates to a method for preparing an immune serum for an immediate test for toxoplasmosis, in which the immune serum used is rabbit toxoplasma immune serum, which is diluted with PSB in ratio of 1:5, and to an express test for toxoplasmosis by an immunochromatographic method using a toxoplasma antigen or immune serum prepared by said methods.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows: fast and high-accuracy diagnosing toxoplasmosis, reducing costs for materials and reagents when diagnosing, preventing infection of people with toxoplasma through meat and meat products.
