SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for controlling movement of a vehicle. Disclosed is a method of controlling movement of a vehicle for controlling a considered vehicle such that it follows a moving vehicle, comprises steps of calculating a first region, determining the region of possible movement of the considered vehicle up to the previous time as the second region, setting the region of possible movement by summation of the first region and the second region, target trajectory of considered vehicle movement is formed within the limits of the specified area of possible movement and the considered vehicle is controlled along the formed target trajectory of movement. In the first region, the considered vehicle in question may possibly move. First area is calculated from the trajectory of the new moving vehicle in case of detection of wedging of the new vehicle in front between the vehicle in front and the considered vehicle in question.
EFFECT: higher safety of vehicle driving is achieved.
