FIELD: glass.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods of heat treatment of glass articles. According to the method of heat treatment of glass articles, a glass article is held at a treatment temperature equal to the annealing temperature of the glass article ±15 °C for a holding time of more than 5 minutes or equal to 5 minutes and less than approximately 15 minutes or equal to approximately 15 minutes. Further, the glass article is cooled from the treatment temperature to the glass article stress point at the first cooling rate CR1, which is less than 0 °C/min and more than about -10 °C/min, so that density of glass article is more after cooling. Further, the glass article is cooled from temperature below the stress point at the second cooling rate CR2, where |CR2| > |CR1|.
EFFECT: technical result is improved glass properties.
