FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to apparatus for neutron therapy. Apparatus comprises a beam forming assembly comprising a retarder and a reflector surrounding the retarder, wherein the retarder is configured to decelerate neutrons to a predetermined energy spectrum, and the reflector is configured to direct the deflected neutrons back to increase neutron intensity in a predetermined energy spectrum, a neutron generator built into the beam forming assembly, wherein the neutron generator is configured to generate neutrons after irradiation with the ion beam, at least one tube for transmitting the ion beam to the neutron generator, wherein the tube determines at least one axis, deflecting magnets for changing the direction of transmission of the ion beam, a collimator for neutron concentration, an irradiation space for receiving the irradiated object, a shielding assembly connected to the beam forming assembly, wherein the shielding assembly is configured to co-operate with the beam forming assembly and shielding the radioactive radiation leakage from the beam forming assembly, and the support frame for holding the beam forming assembly, wherein concavity of outer surface of support frame is formed by enclosing space, connected to space of radiation, wherein screening unit is coated with gap formed between assembly of beam formation, containing space and space of radiation.
EFFECT: use of the invention improves compactness of the apparatus owing to use of rotation of the intrinsic structure.
